Anna Katarzyna Maleszko National Museum in Warsaw, Polish Institute of World Art Studies
An art historian, curator of Japanese Art Collection of the National Museum in Warsaw, a translator and editor of books devoted to Far Eastern and European art, a graduate of Institute of Art History, University of Warsaw. She specializes in the art of Japanese Edo and Meiji periods; organized or co-organized many exhibitions of Japanese art in Warsaw and other cities, eg. in Kraków, Bytom, Gniezno, Gdańsk, Szczecin and Gliwice. She collaborated on exhibitions organized by other cultural institutions, such as the Museum of Literature in Warsaw, the National Library in Warsaw, the Historical Museum of the City of Gdańsk and the National Museum in Gdańsk. She is the author and co-author of exhibition catalogues, as well as studies and articles about Far Eastern art. A member of the Polish Institute of Studies on the Art of the World, and the Polish Museologists Association. Awarded with the Silver Cross of Merit, an honourable badge “Merited for Polish Culture”, a Diploma of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan for propagating Japanese culture in Poland, and the Imperial Order of the Rising Sun, Golden and Silver Rays.
