Polish and Japanese Approach. Activity of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies

A short presentation prepared for the opening of the conference will discuss the Polish–Japanese artistic contacts since the beginning of the 19th century and the research on the Japanese art in Poland. It will also showcase Polish scientific institutions and museums which are interested in Japanese art. The Activity of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies will be presented from the perspective of research, publishing and international conferences of Polish and Japanese art historians, theatre experts and art work conservators. The reading will also include information on the works of the Poland–Japan 2019 Committee.
